Purpose
Our client requires an Electrical and BMS Construction Quality / Construction Support Resource to Support client oversight of execution phase, including onsite and offsite fabrication.
Responsibilities
• Support client oversight of execution phase, including onsite and offsite fabrication.
• Help support and drive a step change in Quality Culture, helping to create a Right First Time (RFT) mentality.
• Help embed a behavioural shift with expectation of built in Quality and delivery of work with zero defects in the same way we approach our Safety culture with the expectation of zero harm.
• Scripting, delivering and attending Quality Toolbox Talks with trades.
• Facilitate/attend weekly Quality meeting used to share quality metrics, info, learnings from non-compliances etc.
• Review and approval of First of Kinds (FOKs) and mock-ups to ensure expectations are understood and aligned across all stakeholders.
• Continuous walkdown of systems as they are built, both onsite and offsite, ensuring work meets specification and requirements. Documenting and addressing variances and non-compliances.
• Investigate non-compliance, identify corrective actions and share lessons learned.
• Including trades and CM in continuous systems walkdowns to align expectations and drive quality standards. Mentor and coach this extended team.
• Final system walkdown to verify mechanical completion, identify punchlist items.
• Follow up to verify punchlist close out.
• Final sign-off/acceptance of system as mechanically complete.
• Review of Construction Completion Records (CCRs).
• Review of Contractor Turnover Packs (CTOPs).
• Review of punchlists to identify trends. Identification and implementation of corrective actions to address trends and reduce/eliminate punchlists.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
• 10+ years’ experience, Elec/I&C/BMS background is preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Field execution experience.
